<div style="font-size: 16px; margin-bottom: 5px; margin-top: 5px;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><b><i><u><a href="http://www.chinatouradvisors.com/travelguide/Chongqing/">Chongqing</a></u></i></b> has been a symbolic city of China throughout history having been the capital during WWII and experienced the ups and downs of China’s history. The republican era of Chongqing is perhaps the most unforgettable. The city is still surrounded by the mystery of war between the spies during WWII and taking a journey into the history of Chongqing will no doubt unravel the mystery and exquisite novelties of the city. </span></div>

<div style="font-size: 16px; margin-bottom: 5px; margin-top: 5px;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; text-decoration: underline;">Explore Chongqing’s Immigration History</span></div>
<div style="font-size: 16px; margin-bottom: 5px; margin-top: 5px;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; text-decoration: underline;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="font-size: 16px; margin-bottom: 5px; margin-top: 5px;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; text-decoration: underline;"></span></div>
<div style="font-size: 16px; margin-bottom: 5px; margin-top: 5px;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">The popular saying “Huguang Guild Hall holds the immigration history” relates to another historical event “Huguang fills Sichuan” which happened during the Qing Dynasty. Towards the end of the Ming Dynasty and the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, Sichuan’s population decreased significantly due to Manchu invasion. Once the Qing government came into power legislation was used to encourage immigration to Sichuan Province to increase population and improve the economy. </span></div>
<div style="font-size: 16px; margin-bottom: 5px; margin-top: 5px;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><img _src="/members/376/201606/Chongqing-Huguang-Guild2.jpg" alt="Chongqing-Huguang-Guild2.jpg" src="http://www.chinatouradvisors.com/members/376/201606/Chongqing-Huguang-Guild2.jpg" height="458" style="height: 458px; width: 428px;" title="Chongqing-Huguang-Guild2.jpg" width="428" /></span></div>
<div style="font-size: 16px; margin-bottom: 5px; margin-top: 5px;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">During this immigration trend the number of immigrates from Huguang (Hubei and Hunan Province) were notably higher than other provinces hence why Huguang Guild Hall was named after this immigration phenomenon. Huguang Guild Hall is the best place to learn and experience the immigration culture of Chongqing and is also the largest most extravagant ancient guild hall in China. </span></div>

The water appears blue to us on a bright and clear day, and the valley is framed like a crescent shape. The valley is very beautiful and looks like one blue moon at a distance in its setting of being at the foot of <a href="http://www.chinatouradvisors.com/attractions/Lijiang-Jade-Dragon-Snow-Mountain-109.html">Jade Dragon Snow Mountain</a> hence the name as Blue Moon Valley. </span><br />

Blue Moon Valley derives its name from the fact that the mud at the bottom of the lake is white, and the water would change to white color when the rain started. The water of Blue Moon Valley is blocked by the mountains in the process of flowing. Thus it has formed four larger water surface areas, which are dubbed as Yuye Lake, Jingtan Lake, Blue Moon Valley and Tingtao Lake. </span></span></div>

subtropical monsoon climate for the majority of the year. The temperature can
reach an average scorching 31 degrees but with high humidity and no breeze
staying outdoors for long periods of time is survivable but weather is hot!
Summer time in Hong Kong means there is also frequent typhoons which is always
a spoiler for any vacation. If you so happen to be unlucky and come across the
typhoon season the theme park opening hours may be delayed depending on the
weather warning. If you plan on visiting during the summer suitable sunscreen
for the kids is essential also an umbrella to shade yourself is also handy
which can be used to shield the sun or the rain. <o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

<h2>
How to go to Tung Ping Chau</h2>
We took MTR to University station, walk 15 minute from exit B, follow the biking trail to seashore, arrived at Ma Liu Shui Ferry Pier. The ferry leaves at 09:00 am, tickets are sold from 08:30 am. You'd better be there before 08:30 am. We saw people keeping on coming until 9 am! And there was only one ferry on that Sunday. Many people had to giveup this trip to Tung Ping Chau eventually.<br />
<br />
Two ways tickets are required to be bought, HKD90 for round trips. The ferry leaves Tung Ping Chau at 17:00 pm. If you miss this it, you have to wait 6 more days!<br />
<br />
Definetely we will come back to Tung Ping Chau for a deep sea diving next time.<br />
