Kuan Zhai Alley is one of the top three historic preserve districts in Chengdu City. It is formed by three alleys called Kuan Alley (Wide Alley), Zhai Alley (Narrow Alley), and Jing Alley. The major buildings in this site are courtyards and ancient style streets. This district had been renovated from 2005 to 2008. And now, it is a cultural site consisting of 45 Qing Ming Dynasty style courtyards, modern villas and gardens, as well as theme hostels.

This is the Starbucks in Kuan Zhai Alley, very cute.

In fact, most alleys are the same. A variety of shops, wine, songs, girls, young guys, night, etc …

Lazy Time in Lijiang Beam River Ancient Town

Compared wit the gentle, hustle and bustle and Lijiang, the Beam River Ancient Town is lazy and quiet.

It has been said: If you love a girl, just take her to Lijiang, because it is a heaven; if no one loves you, then go to Lijiang yourself. It is said that Lijiang is a place full of love affairs.

I came not for the love affairs, but the customs and large-scale Naxi style ancient buildings. 

The day of Lijiang is hustle and bustle. So I prefer to stay in Beam River Ancient Town. 
Shuhe is quiet and lazy. Although it is only ten meters away from Lijiang Ancient Town, but away from the tumult of the city, it is authentic, rustic look.

I found an inn and stayed for one night. There was delicious breakfast when we got up in the morning, good! After breakfast, I aimlessly walked along the smooth quartzite road in the town. The doors of every household are surrounded by flowers. The stream flowing down from snow-capped mountains flow over the front of the houses, feel so good. 

The streams in Beam River Ancient Town are crisscrossed and interlocking with each other. The river leisurely flows from west to east. If you lost in the Beam River Road, don’t worry, just walk along the streams like the fish in the river, you will be able to return to the center Square Street in the ancient town.

The most comfortable thing is daze in the sun. Sitting at the open seats of the bar, the sun gently warming sprinkle on the body, next to a babbling brook, as well as willow branch inadvertently brushed the cheek. People from different places to sit together, did not know each other, undefended. In this place, in the sun, you really will stop all the thinking, only innocently in a daze. 

You will complete relax in Beam River Ancient Town, away from the tumult of the city, only to find the heart of a quiet direction. 

























Located four kilometers to the northwest of the old town of Lijiang, Shuhe ancient town( Beam River ancient town) was one of the earliest gathering places of Lijiang valley plain region for the Naxi ancestors. It was an important town on the Tea-horse Ancient Road that has been well preserved, and a live specimen of Naxi ancestors' transition from agricultural civilization to commercial civilization as well. In 1997, Shuhe was enlisted by the UNESCO as one of the important components of the "World Cultural Heritage" - Lijiang Ancient Town. In 2005, it was honored as the “well-known township with the best residential environment” in the appraisal event of “Well-known Township of China”.

Look for the Desperate Slope in the Rain

Is this the legend of desperate slope? Of course, no!


Standing on the slope, I’m afraid I was blow away by the wind. Oh my God，God bless me!

Distant range upon range of ups and downs of the alpine meadow, and the clouds changed with the stormy wind.

Does it feel like being swallowed by the wind?

Hey, guys, there’s no need to be so carefully, we haven’t get to the desperate slope yet. 


You could see how strong the wind is from the picture. 

Come on! We were going to get to the top of the mountain.

Come on, guys! Many mountaineering enthusiasts love to climb Wugong Mountain.


The slope becomes so gentle all of a sudden? 

Seems to start difficult…


This is the legendary desperate slope.

This seems not so desperate! 

Where to go, I could not see the road, ah?

Hey, guy, where are you go, up or down?

Oh my god, how could I do, I could not up, nor down, oh my god, the rain was also so heavy too…

The opposite hillside disappeared suddenly, so weird… 

We met the group who climbed the mountain from another direction. They told us that it is so wised for us to climb from our direction, because it is very difficult to climb the mountain from their direction. 

Seeing the beautiful scenery, I could not help but shooting the scenery with my camera.

Finally I climbed over the despair slope, look back, there were still many tourists fighting in the storm. 

Looked over on the top of desperate slope, clouds filled the air, and everywhere is beautiful scenery, good mood. 

There was nearly nobody in the desperate slope.

I directly headed for The Peak. 3 hours later, I arrived at The Peak, where there were two other tourists, and then we sighed that the desperate slope in fact is not desperate, it is the last stop to climb the mountain to make you feel desperate, because you will tired out at that time. 

It was getting dark, the rain stopped, surging, ever changing, and magnificent, as if in wonderland.

Desperate slope is one of mountain slope of Wugong Mountain. 

Wugong Mountain, National Park of China, National Geological Park, National Forest Park, is situated in the southeast of PingXiang City, jiangxi Province. The area of the scenic spot is 260sq.km. It consists of four scenic areas: Golden Peak, Sheep and Lion Curtain, Nine-Dragon Mountain, FaYun Border. The main peak, White Crane Peak with the height of 1918.3m, is the highest peak in jiangxi province.
Wugong Mountain is marvelous, steep and charming. It is one of the three famous mountains in theSouthern of China from the ancient. It is as famous as Mount Lu and Mount Heng. The 100,000 Mu meadows at a high elevation cover a large area like ripples. The ancient altars with a long History are unique for their plainness and mysteriousness. Sheep and Lion Curtain has many unique peaks and wins the reputation of "Small Mountain Huang". The Glossy alive Ganoderma is the one and only in the world. Non-Sun Valley is deep, cool and infrequent in the world. Red Rock Valley is famous for its deep valley and beautiful waterfalls. Taoism and Buddhism with long historical culture and strong folk custom of Nuo culture add new mysteriousness and humanistic sight to the Wugong Mountain which has turquoise grass, beautiful cloud, queer rocks, and water.

On the basis of "depending mainly on the sightseeing, relaxation and entertainment, and secondly on popular science education, exploration, religious pligrimage", Administrative Committee of WuGong Mountain Scenic Area, PingXiang will make Wugong Mountain become a new green ecological scenic spot, which is with characteristics of vast meadow at a high elevation, highlight of peak-forests and the geographic physiognomy, charm of hot spring relaxation, and base of Taoism and Buddhism culture in three to six years. So, Wugong Mountain will become a scenic spot which is famous in China and known in the world some day.

Admirable Grass:
The meadow covers an area of more than 100,000 Mu at the elevation of more than 1600 meters. It is green when spring and summer, gold when autumn and white when winter. It makes you experience the sight of northern prairie in Southern of China. It is the Prairie in the sky, the divine of the earth, the sight of northern and green family.

Grand Mountain:
Wugong Mountain with many overlapped peaks is marvelous and splendid. There are many deep gullies and dingles. And The Peaks are steep and so beautiful that they are the one and only in the world.

Queer Rock:
There are queer rocks everywhere in Wugong Mountain. Golden Cock Greeting Spring, Stalagmite Penetrating the clouds, Couple's Peak, Guanggong Back From Batter ground and some other scenic spots are vivid and marvelous
