Yishui County is located in the province of Shandong under the administration of Linyi prefecture level city. The elevation of this tourist destination is one hundred and sixty three meters. The largest fresh water lake in China - Weishan Lake

Tianhou Temple – the Temple of the Queen of Heaven

Tianhou temple is also known as the Temple of the Queen of Heaven. These types of temples can be frequently seen in the coastal cities of China, Macau, Hong Kong and even the Southeast part of Asia. Rushan is county level city located in province of Shandong. It has four county level divisions and sixty six township level divisions. The area of the city covers about one thousand six hundred and sixty eight square kilometres out of which 28.6 square kilometres are for urban and metro each. Kong Miao is also known as The Temple of Confucius, located in Qufu belongs to Shadong Province of People's Republic of China.This is the largest original temple and also the most famous of temples of Confucius, the famous philosopher, in the People's Republic of China. Confucius was a great Chinese philosopher; politician, scholar, editor, mentor and teacher lived between BC 551 to 479, during the Spring Autumn era of Chinese history. Confucius thoughts had greater and significant influence in Chinese society especially following the victory of Han over Chu, which was known as Confucianism. Is a UNESCO World Heritage Site

Today Kong Miao is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Site and it has been officially recognized as UNESCO WHS since 1994. We can say this is a complex of temple and burial ground, where Confucius and his fellow family members were buried. The Kong Miao and the Kong Family Mansion in Qufu all are declared as UNESCO World Heritage Site.The temple is featuring oriental architectural excellence and located inside the southern gate of Qufu.When we consider the three largest historical architectural complexes in china, Kong Miao share its position along with Summer Palace in Beijing and the Mountain Resort of Chengde.

The temple is spread over 50 acres of land. The temple in the present form was rebuilt during Min and Qing dynasties in 1368-1364 and 1644-1911 respectively.The temple has 9 court yards and built in Royal Palace specifications. The structure includes three ancestral temples, one pavilion, one altar and three halls.With 54 gateways and 466 rooms the complex is having 218,000 square meters in area shows the grandeur of the temple. Its floor and walls are further beautified with yellow tiles and red wall tiles.

Inside the temple, there is a huge statue of Confucius, 53 mammoth steles, 13 stele pavilions and 120 Shengjitu which shreds light to Confucius thoughts and life experience.There is an array of steles numbering to 2,100 steles that includes more than 800 steles displayed outside which are displayed in a stretch of one kilometer from North to South in the complex.

Tourists can easily find their way to Kong Miao from the city Qufu. Bus Nos.1 and 5 will take you to the Confucius Temple, the Cemetery of Confucius and Confucius Family Mansion. Whereas Bus No 3 and 5 will take you to the other important places related to Confucius in Qufu area. Admission fee to Kong Miao is CNY 90 per head during March 1to November 14 and from November 15 to February end the fee would be CNY 80 per head.You need to spend one and half hours to two hours to complete the visit. The temple will be opened morning 7:30am to 4:30pm.Indeed an interesting place to visit and experience the ambience of philosophy.

Heihu Spring or Black tiger spring is culturally the most important second spring out of 72 named spring in Jinan City of Shandong Province in the Peoples Republic of China.It is located along the moat of Heihu Spring Street.This is one of the most important tourist attraction centers in Jinan city and is known as artesian karst spring.The spring emerges out from a water filled limestone cave located in a steep cliff.Three stone sculptured tiger heads are created to flush out the spring through its mouth in to a square shaped pool. From the pool the water flows through the old city moat.

Legendary myth

According to the old myth, in the olden days there was a black rock in front of the cave.The rock was black in color and resembled like a tiger.The sound of the water rushed out from the rock resembled like that of a roaring tiger.The resemblance of the shape and sound is the reason to name the spring as Black Tiger Spring.The meaning of Hei Hu is Black Tiger. Reference of the rock and its layout could be seen narrated in a poem written by Yan Bizeng who lived in Ming Dynasty.The spring is situated in the old city moat very close to the southern bank of the old moat.

Crystal clear and clean water

The spring originates three meter below from the surface and has a height of 2 meters and width of 1.7 meters. The water gushed out from the spring is crystal clear and clean.Deep bottom of the spring is very cold. The opening of the cave is developed with blue stone.A big black stone covered with moss resembles the shape of a feral tiger is seen at the opening of the cave. While the water gushes out and torrent hit on the rock the sound that produced that of a roaring tiger. It would be one of the beautiful experiences, as a tourist you can experience at Heihu Spring.

The out flow of the spring is calculated as 41,000 cubic meters per day.When compared with Baotu Spring, Heihu Spring is second in water out flow.The water gushed out is stored in to stone pool of size 13 meter length and 9 meter width.From here the water flows out through the old city moat.The water gushing out through the three giant tiger heads with roaring sound could be heard very far from the pool premises.Surrounding the spring you can see the Black Tiger Temple with a small garden with lot of flowering plants and trees. The scenic location of Heihu spring is known as "Park City" and is a hot tourist destination.

Travel Tips:

From Jinan City, tourists can board buses that can take you directly to the Heihu Spring spot.The spring spot is opened 8:00 am to 5:00 pm in the evening.The best time to visit the spring is during July and August.There will be heavy rain during this season and flow of spring water gushing out from the tiger head will be in its full force and the roaring sound of the tiger will be much daring.

Haiyang is a coastal city located in Shandong, which is a peninsular province in the eastern part of China. It is situated strategically in the core area of significant tourist trio of Yantai, Qingdao and Weihai. Badaguan in Chinese means, eight passes.In the olden times Badaguan had eight thoroughfares and was named after eight passes in China. Today Badaguan has ten thoroughfares but still the names of the places are known as Badaguan.Two new avenues were built after People's Liberation. This is a beautiful location with lot of historical relics spreading light to the good old days of the city.Badaguan is situated in the eastern side of Qingdao city in the Shandong Province of People's Republic of China.

The avenues are adorned with wide variety of trees

The pleasant scenery of the Badaguan is further enhanced by the presence of neatly cultivated trees on both of side of avenue. The differenttypes of flowering trees with multicolored flowers make the thoroughfare an impressive outlook. The seasonal impacts on the trees will be a unique experience.Each of the ten avenues have adored with different types of trees on both sides of the thoroughfare. Qingdao Island

Once upon a time, Qingdao Island was a secluded island with a coastal line of 720 meters.In the 1940 the island was connected to the mainland with a seawall.The shape of the seawall was something like that of an old Chinese musical instrument "qin".When the waves flashed on the wall, it started to produce a sound that is similar to that being produced by the musical instrument and gradually the islands name took shape as Qin Island.The island is located in the south east side of Zhan Bridge and is one of the most notable resort areas in the Qindgao Coast Scenic Area.


Another attraction in Qingdao Island is the "beacon" constructed by the Germans in the year 1990.This 15.5 meter tall structure is constructed with white marble.During sunlight it will shine as while and in night it will shine like a ruby, helps to navigate the ships safely which passes through the bay. From the outer seen the beacon may look like as if floating in the sea, hence it is called as "Floating Light on the Qin Island".

Visitors can board bus to Luxuan Park and from here entrance to the island is very near. There are lot of bus services operating through Luxuan Park.Entry fee to island is CNY 15 during April to October and CNY 10 during November to March.

Nong’An Ancient Tower 

Nong'An Ancient Tower has a rich history dating back to 2000 years. It was the capital city of Fuyu State which was existed in 346 AD. The tower has lot of historical significance and helping historical scholars to study about the religious relics and architecture importance of Lio Dynasty of 907 - 1125. It was also considered as an important center of political, military and economic center during Liao and Jin Dynasties. Enjoying all the socio-political importance Nong’An County prospered in its full swing. There are lots of historical evidences establishing the rich connection related to the healthy and wealthy social back ground can be seen here. None other than the Nong’An Liao Tower itself is a typical example to stand the historical claims.

Known in various names
Nong’An Ancient Tower is located 70 kilometers north-west to Changchun city in the Nong’An agricultural area, in the People's Republic of China. The tower is also known as "the Nong’An Ancient Pagoda or Liao Dynasty Tower or Jin Dynasty Tower". The tower is constructed with solid brick in octagonal shape, which has 13 floors and having a height of 40 meters. Inside the tower you can see the marvelous construction of bucket arches that are made up of beautifully carved bricks under each eaves. There are eight doors on each wall and the structure of the body takes a contracting shape as it goes up. The formation is very slow from the bottom to the top. The top of the roof just throw to the sky.

Beautifully carved eaves
The ridges of the eaves are adorned with beautifully carved dragon, lion, horse and various other types of animals. The tower corners are further embellished with hanging bells. The hanging bells hymen whenever it is disturbed by gentle breeze. The gongs are made of gold and steel and the gongs could be heard quite far that gives a melodious sweet experience. The slight murmuring various tone of gongs are one of the best experience one can have while visiting the pagoda.

Three parts of Tower
Locals are so proud of this ancient pagoda built in the 10th century. Situated at the western door of Nong’An County, the ancient tower pagoda is also called as Buddha Tower and Gold Tower. The name Gold Tower may be received due to the various numbers of gongs dangled from the ridges of the roofs. The tower is divided in to three parts, the base floor, the body part and the top part. In each floor and every angle of the floor there are lots of statues of dragons, lions and horses and four angled Aeolian bell.

In the tenth floor, two bronze statue of Buddha is erected and lot of Buddha article and religious literatures and relics can be seen in the small brick room. It opens a sterling opportunity to understand and study the developments and architectural technologies prevailed during Liao Dynasty.

Travel Tips:
Being part of a well connected road and rail net work service, reaching to Nong’An Liao Tower is easy. From the city center tourist can have special tourist buses to the tower area. Admission to the Ancient Pagoda is CNY 20 per head. The tower will be opened from morning 8:00 am to 6:00 pm in the evening.
