Huaqing Hot Spring is also called Huaqing Palace, which is located in the north side of Lishan and about 30 kilometers away from Xi’an. It is the famous resort of hot spring in China. Many tourists have a bath here evey year. Additionally, Wujian Hall—former site of Xi’an Accident is also at here, and Chiang Kai-shek escaped to Lishan from here.

Now please follow me…… There were many guides standing at the gate of Huaqing Hot Spring. It is suggested to listen to the guide when visiting, or it is uninteresting to have this tour.

There is a stele behind the pool

I could not understand its grass style, which is inscribed by Yuhuan Yang. Just took a photo of this stele!

This is the highlight—Guifei Pool. I need to mention that the buildings are all established afterward and in order to protect the inside pool.

This is the poor where Yang Kwei Fei had a bath, and it is also called Malus spectabilis pool. The style of pool is just like Malus spectabilis, and two-tier and build by bluestone and is very exquisite.

This is the bathing pool for Emperor of Xuanzong—Lotus Pool (The pool is blocked, the guide said the water we saw is seepage water). Lotus Pool is also called Yutang Jiulong Palace, is rectangle and splendid.

After walked out of Lotus Pool, you can see the second spring of Huanqing Hot Spring. The spring was gushing water and steaming.

Many people are crowned here. The spring water is clear and steaming, the color underwater is beautiful. The guide said the spring water here is 42-43 degrees all the times and rich of mineral element. I only remembered the water is very helpful for our skin.

The no. 1 spring is near the second one. But the spring is blocked, so you cannot experience the hot-gas and clear water here.

You can see the Jinsha Hole after visiting the no.1 spring. Here you can wash feet and enjoy yourselves.

The road to the Hole is mysterious under the light. You may feel it just like a buried treasure.

Where it is under light? The left side is the place where washing feet.

Took another photo of this treasure.

There is a stele near it which is inscribed by Li Longji—“The Gold-given water”.

This is the pool where wash you feet and also the third pool in Huaqing Hot Spring.

There is a famous name—Nine Dragon Paddles. Many famous persons go to spa here. And Huaqing Hot Spring is also called “the first hot spring”.

This is the spring for officials—Shangtang Spring. The pool is divided by stelae.

If you have no time to wash feet, please remember to washing face and hand with the water in Huaqing Hot Spring. It is said that the water here can maintain beauty and keep young.

This is the bathing pool which called Xingcheng Spring for Emperor Taizhong of Tang. The shape of the pool is just like the big dipper.

This is a statue of Yang Guifei between the palaces.

This place is called Yujingxuan; you may feel it is a palace. But actually it is a toilet. All the toilets in Huaqing Hot Spring keep the traditional name, such as Yujingxuan. It is special and connotative.

Then let’s visit the former site of Xi’an Accident. The famous Xi’an Accident occurred here on December 12, 1936. This accident leaded to the second Kuomintang-Communist cooperation and also is a kickpoint in the history of defend Japanese.
This is the bathing room of Chiang Kai-shek. It is said that Guo Moruo also had a bath here.

It is ordinary here and there are a pool and simple furniture in the rooms. The water pipe in the pool may be the water outlet.

Here is one of the former site of Xi’an Accident—Wujian Hall. The famous one is the bedroom of Chiang Kai-shek.

This is the bedroom of Chiang Kai-shek. I was looking forward to having a look.

The inside of the bedroom is simple. Chiang Kai-shek ran away from this window and escape to Lishan at that time.

This is one meeting room in the Wujian Hall. The picture on the wall is the father of nation and the two sides are the flag of the Republic of China and the Kuomintang.

Look at the sign here. These were the bullet holes at that time.

These twelve articles were inscribed by Chiang Kai-shek and all are meaningful,

This is the bridge where leads to Lishan. We had no time to climb it. And you can take a cable car to the peak of the hill and there is a temple here.

The above are all the introduction of the main scenery spot.
It is better for visiting with a guide. It is a pity if you do not wash feet here.
There is surcharge if you want to climb the Lishan.
